What is "Performance Basics" about?
The PSG-A-2: Performance Basics service is a training class in performance terminology and concepts.
The course material is based on established standards for performance testing approved by ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute located in Sophia Antipolis, France) and ITU (International Telecommunication Union a UN Agency located in Geneva, Switzerland).
The objectives of Performance Basics training are to establish:
A common terminology for all aspects of performance.
A common understanding of concepts in system performance, performance requirements, performance testing, performance measurements, and performance evaluation.
When a common terminology and understanding of performance concepts is established all participants will talk and understand the same "performance language".
This will enable efficient and focused discussions and decision making regarding all performance issues.
The performance basics training should be attended by everybody who will be involved in performance issues.
Management on business level are particularly welcome to attend the training, as we regard performance requirements as cases for business decisions.
There are no prerequisites for participants. The training is an introduction in performance for anybody who will be involved in performance issues
The training is strongly recommended for all participants in performance services provided and conducted by Softwell Performance.
